Cosmetic Acupuncture

A natural TCM therapy to enhance skin health, improve circulation and support graceful aging from within.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the face and body to improve skin appearance and overall health.

In TCM terms, this treatment works by:

  • Regulating Qi and blood circulation to nourish the skin
  • Balancing Yin and Yang to support internal harmony
  • Stimulating meridians to improve organ function linked to skin health

It addresses not just surface concerns, but also underlying imbalances contributing to ageing and skin issues.

Suitable for individuals experiencing:

  • Dull or uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing
  • Sagging skin or loss of firmness
  • Acne or blemishes
  • Puffiness or dark eye circles
  • Poor circulation affecting skin glow
  • Tight facial tension
  • General wellness and skin maintenance
  • Improves blood circulation and Qi flow to the face for naturally glowing skin
  • Enhances skin elasticity and firmness
  • Reduces fine lines and signs of early ageing
  • Promotes natural collagen stimulation
  • Brightens complexion and reduce hyperpigmentation
  • Expedite the healing of acne and minimizes scarring
  • Relaxes muscle tensions of the face
  • Encourages relaxation and stress reduction

  • Skin and overall health assessment by practitioner (encouraged to come bare face or with minimal make up)
  • Gentle insertion of super fine acupuncture needles on face and some parts of the body
  • Duration: approximately 45 minutes
  • Sensations: mild tingling, slight heaviness, warmth, or deep relaxation

After treatment:

This treatment can be combined with:

  • Herbal medicine for internal balance
  • Body acupuncture for holistic support
  • Cupping or Gua Sha to improve circulation
  • Facial Gua Sha for enhanced effects

Does it hurt?
Treatments are gentle and customizable based on tolerance. Most people just feel a slight sensation during insertion of needles.

How many sessions do I need?
You will see a brighter complexion and less puffiness after your very first visit! However, for lasting structural changes like lifting the jawline or smoothing out deeper wrinkles, we recommend a starter series of 6 to 12 weekly sessions, followed by a monthly maintenance visit if needed.

Can I do this if I already have Botox or Fillers?
Yes, just wait 4-6 weeks after your injections. Once they are settled, acupuncture is actually a great way to improve the health, texture and brightness of the surrounding skin.

Is it suitable for first-time TCM users?
Yes, it is a non-invasive and commonly used therapy. However, body acupuncture is usually recommended first if there are any underlying health issues.

Are there any side effects?
Side effects are minimal and may include slight redness or mild bruising in rare cases.
