OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

Fire Needle Therapy

Fire needle is a TCM therapy in which a specially designed needle is heated until red-hot and then inserted into acupuncture points or affected areas for certain skin diseases and pain conditions.

Fire Needle Therapy is a traditional Chinese medicine technique where a specialized metal needle is heated until red-hot and swiftly inserted into specific acupuncture points or affected body areas.

Pain management: Chronic joint pain, knee osteoarthritis, and cancer-related pain.

Skin issues: Acne, stubborn nodules, herpes zoster (shingles), and carbuncles.

Inflammatory conditions: Gouty arthritis and soft tissue swelling.

The intense local heat and rapid puncture break up stagnation, stimulate blood circulation, clear meridians, and encourage local tissue repair or immune response.

  • Initial consultation (include pulse and tongue diagnosis)
  • Skin and overall health assessment by practitioner (encouraged to come bare face or with minimal make up)
  • Gentle insertion of super fine acupuncture needles on face and some parts of the body
  • Duration: approximately 15-30 minutes
  • Sensations: mild tingling, slight heaviness, warmth, or deep relaxation

After treatment:

  • Keep warm and stay hydrated
  • Avoid intense exercise or late nights on the same day
  • Follow personalised dietary or lifestyle advice by TCM practitioners
  • Pregnant individuals
  • People with bleeding disorders or severe skin infections at the site
  • Anyone with severe metal allergies, pacemakers, or a severe phobia of needles/fire

This treatment can be combined with:

  • Herbal medicine for internal balance
  • Body acupuncture for holistic support
  • Cupping or Gua Sha to improve circulation

Does it hurt?
You will feel a quick, sharp pricking sensation paired with a wave of deep warmth. Because the insertion is extremely fast (often a fraction of a second), most patients tolerate it well

How many sessions are needed?
The recommended number of sessions varies depending on your health condition, fertility goals, and treatment plan. Many patients benefit from regular treatments over several menstrual cycles.

Is it suitable for first-time TCM users?
Fire needle is an invasive therapy that should only be used when indicated, and body acupuncture is typically recommended first if underlying health issues exist.

Are there any side effects?
Mild local redness, minor swelling, or temporary tenderness at the puncture site. Scarring may occur in small number of cases requiring frequent treatment.
